WebI had bunion surgery 4 weeks ago, age 63, I have fallen off my knee scooter several times, so Ive decided to quit using it altogether. Hard to see without removing my splint but I dont notice any swelling. They didnt put me on any type of rehab or did they give me any exercises to do. Freaked out! Everyone says theyll follow up and never do. You will be given a special shoe to wear when you are walking for the first few weeks of bunion surgery recovery. This was certainly a relief to find this forum but I am a little concerned. I just walk on my heal, (which is very sore just after a few days) I dont walk around much at all but the first time I fell off it (5 a.m. after surgery) I tore my rotator cuff, so they say, I didnt go to an Orthopedic Surgeon, but this Noticed a small bump off to the side of my tendon by the incision. Thank you all. I still have some months until I return to normal activity, but the small victories are keeping me positive. Its not constant. but now I'm 2.5 months post op and I'm experiencing a lot of pain on the top of my foot.
